Community Support Initiatives
Caring Meal Delivery Program
Managed by St. George’s, The Anglican Parish of The Blue Mountains, the Caring Meal Delivery Program is intended to provide seniors in need with a free meal.
Meals packages include: soups, salads, a pasta dish, a stew, fresh baked bread, dessert and a complimentary roll of toilet paper. To place an order, please contact: 519-599-3047. The current capacity is for 40 deliveries per week.
The program is endorsed by the Grey-Bruce Health Board and operates according to pandemic protocols.
Through a partnership between Chef Jean Lewis Knight Oliver, St. George's Anglican Church, the Beaver Valley Outreach and the Beaver Valley Community School this program offers a weekly meal for families in our community. The intent is to lighten the load and to share our care for them. Questions or inquiries about this outreach can be directed through the BVO at 519-599-2577. Capacity for the Village Meal is ten families per week (50 recipients).

Online Broadcasts: Our YouTube Channel is "The Anglican Parish of The Blue Mountains". It hosts daily "Midday with Gray" broadcasts (Mon-Fri at 12:00 p.m.) and "Sunday Worship" on Sunday at 10:00 a.m.
Outreach Ministries:
Ringing the St. George's Bell in support of frontline workers and volunteers each night at 7:00 p.m. We are offering pastoral care services via video and phone call by appointment (519-599-3047). We are offering a "Caring Meal Delivery" outreach for seniors in the community. Deliveries are free and include: a soup, salads, a pasta dish, a stew, fresh baked bread, dessert and a complimentary roll of toilet paper. Available for one or two - orders placed at 519-599-3047. Our current capacity is for 40 deliveries weekly. The program is endorsed by the Grey-Bruce Health Board and operates according to pandemic protocols. We also have a Messy Church Youth Ministry outreach that includes a video story time every two weeks with craft kits that can be picked up at the church (call to make arrangements for them). St. George’s parishioners are currently making cloth masks and gowns for both personal and hospital use (Meaford).

We have a volunteer in the office each morning Monday - Friday to answer calls and help to respond to community needs.

Outreach Ministries: The community can access our ministries through our website and Sunday services. Our outreach is currently happening through relationships in the community.
Other Information: People are more than welcome to worship with us on Sunday mornings and get connected with our mid-week online groups that are happening for all ages.

Online Broadcasts: We are worshipping together though separate via email with prayers, scripture, meditation and links to youtube videos for music. Outreach Ministries: Pastoral care and visits continue via telephone. The depot for medical assistive devices continues to operate – leave a message at 519 599 6247. This is a free service available to anyone in our area.
