• TK Ferri Orchards

  Learn all about modern, high-density apple farming with Tom & Karen Ferri. The Ferris grow 7+ varieties of apples on their 20 acres. Stop by the farm market, sample Grandad Jack's Apple Cider, enjoy some apple tasting and tour the orchard to harvest your very own apple.

• The Farmer's Pantry

  As part of the Open Fields Farm Tour, there is no admission fee for activities at The Farmer's Pantry, including the petting zoo, mini-golf, cedar maze, sandhills and more. Face painters and balloon twisters will be on location! Meet the animals and explore the fun with Sarah and family.

  Pick-your-own apples and The Farmer's Pantry BBQ are available at an additional cost.

• Georgian Hills Vineyards

  Since the first soil test in 1998, Georgian Hills Vineyards has been a forerunner in the development of Georgian Bay's exciting cool-climate wine region. Learn how the unique features of The Blue Mountains make some of the most vibrant wines in Ontario.

  The grape harvest at the winery begins on Monday, so come on by and take a tour of the vineyards and winery with Robert Ketchin, partner at GHV. The tour will include tasting some grapes on the vines and insights into wine making with equipment on display for viewing at the winery.

  There will also be a market table on site for your opportunity to taste and buy some of our wines and ciders on sale at our market tent, right on the crush pad.

• Silver Springs Farms

  Sustainability and efficiency are important at Silver Springs. They're all about using less to produce the same high-quality product for consumers. Visit the farm where five generations have been growing crops and raising cattle since 1885. Farm tractors will be on display, and tours will provide insight on modern cattle farming.

  Kimber Valley Farms is hosting its annual Fall Farmers & Makers Market. Visitors can come and shop and support many local farmers and makers. Please note: while Kimber Valley Farms regularly offers tours, farm tours & workshops will not be available on September 30th.   • Open Fields is a free, self-guided tour across five different locations
  • The event runs from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. - rain or shine!
  • Bring cash and a cooler. Some of the stops will have products for purchase or paid activities.
  • No pets allowed. We love all of our furry friends, but for safety reasons, we ask that you leave them at home. 
  • Dress appropriately. Be prepared to get dirty and bring proper footwear for the farm!
  • Please respect signage and boundaries. These farms are working farms, and we ask that you stay within the marked areas.
  • Take only pictures. For your safety, and out of respect for the producers, don't touch or take anything unless told. 
• Do I need to pre-register?

  Only for the tours at Bay Growers Inc. The tours are sold out.

  While some locations may ask for visitors to 'check-in' or 'register' upon arrival, pre-registration is not required for the five farm locations on the Open Fields Tour.
